                   Pre-Soaked to Remove All Dross & Mill-Scale

Grinder:     4" Makita  ( I also use a Variable Speed
4" Metabo Angle Grinder)  Any angle grinder
                   you prefer is just fine.

Abrasive:  80-Grit , 4-1/2" Flap Disc
(Use120-Grit for an even higher polish)

Time To Complete Each Piece:  Approx. 3 Minutes

Date:  4/24/11

Video 3 ~ COPPER F/X on Bare Steel w/ PEWTER F/X added for Bronzing
and aging (darkening) of the Copper F/X finish.

                   Ready Now For Clear-Coat

I use & highly recommend  PPG DELTRON DC3000 tm,                                                  but you can use any clear-coat that you prefer, even
                   Powder-Coat Clear.

Note:   All patinas made by STEEL F/X  PATINAS require a clear-coat to prevent discoloration & rusting.   Wax or oil is okay for indoor pieces, but outdoor
pieces need UV protection that only a high-quality clear-coat can provide.

Video 2~ COPPER F/X on Bare Steel w/ PEWTER F/X added for
Bronzing and Darkening effects.  (Adds a lot of "richness" to
                   the Copper F/X treated steel.

                   (Full-Length Video...More Detail)

Video 4 ~  COPPER F/X , TORCH F/X, BRONZE F/X                                                     and PEWTER F/X on Bare Mild Steel  that
    has been properly polished.

Video 5~  TORCH F/X on Copper F/X

It is important to use the TORCH F/X in a close, soft, repetitive spray.   Limit the use to a small area as seen in the video, until you achieve the level of blue that you want, then neutralize with water & move to a new area.

You can also drizzle, drip, or drag saturated sponge, cloth or brush an area with the Torch F/X repeatedly for some very interesting effects.

The STEEL F/X  Patinas & Dyes are very versatile & you are only limited by your imagination.
